What are Soap Nuts
Grown on Sapindus trees, the Soap Nut is a fruit that is valued for its cleansing purposes since ancient times. When its dried pulp comes in contact with water, it releases saponin, a natural cleanser that creates mild suds to wash out dirt and stains from your laundry and household.
Soap Nuts are actually a berry (a fruit!) related to the lychee and are not nuts at all. They are nut allergy safe.
Our organic soap nuts are grown in the Himalayas.
Directions
Laundry: Pop 4-6 nuts into the cotton wash bag provided and throw it in with your clothes into the washing machine. Wash at a temperature of 30 degrees.
All-purpose Cleaning Liquid: Click here to find out how to prepare this multi-purpose liquid that can be used a base for countless DIY recipes!
Some tips:
Reuse: You can reuse the nuts! Gently squeeze the still wet Soap Nuts bag after doing a load of laundry: if you see and feel some suds, you can do another load with them. Each batch of nuts can be reused at least 3 times before it loses its sudsy powers.
